30 Creepy Halloween Dinner Ideas
Today we’re going to talk about the 30 Creepy Halloween Dinner Ideas I found while doing a long Google search this last weekend. Some of them are creepy, some are pretty funny (check out the feetloaf!), and some are absolutely adorable! I would have an extremely hard time getting Punky to eat any of the green foods (especially the soup), but they had to go on this list simply for the creep factor.
A lot of these recipes are baked in the oven, but if you plan ahead it shouldn’t be a problem to get them on the table before you take the kids Trick or Treating! A lot of these recipes are easy to scale up for a party spread. I just hope you all have the same ghoulish sense of humor that I do! Enjoy!
The only person in my house that absolutely loves soup is The Husband. His favorite is my chunky minestrone – I’ll share the recipe in another post coming soon! Punky and I could take it or leave it. I don’t know what Punky’s deal is, but mine is because I was on a 12 week liquid diet due to jaw surgery. If I never eat soup again I think I’ll be perfectly fine! I do think I’d try out the Blood Soup though, because I do love beetroot. Yum!
Green Goblin Soup (Spinach)
Witch’s Brew (Pea & Bacon Chowder)
Blood Soup (Beetroot and Tomato)
Chicken Boo-dle Soup (Chicken Noodle)
Pasta is a huge favorite for my guys. Again, I don’t care for it, but when I do cook it I end up eating it anyway. In the recipe below for Halloween Black Spaghetti with Garlic, Parmesan and Sun Dried Tomatoes, it specifies that you use squid ink spaghetti. I think you could make do with soaking plain spaghetti noodles in black food coloring instead. I don’t even know where you’d buy squid ink spaghetti! Maybe I’m not that posh…
Bats & Cobwebs Pasta (bow tie pasta & cheese)
Eyeball Pasta Pie (Rigatoni with tomato sauce & mozzarella-olive eyeballs)
Pizza is a must have in our home. We probably order pizza once a week, maybe more often when I don’t feel like cooking. I love the pizza recipes below, even the pizza skulls. The beauty with these pizzas is that by making them yourself they’re quite frugal in nature, plus you can put any topping you want on them and they’ll still be pretty creepy.
Pepperoni Pizza Pockets (pumpkin shaped)
Burgers, Meatloaf & Meatballs
I had quite a lot of fun searching out these recipes. If your sense of humor ends up going toward the dark side like mine, you’ll absolutely love the Feet Loaf and Rat Loaf. I think I prefer the feet loaf though… I cracked up laughing so hard when I read the recipe that The Husband thought I had lost my mind. Punky loves the look of the Monster Burgers, so I’ll need to make those at least once before Halloween.
Halloween Rat Loaf (meatloaf)
Hot Dogs & Sausages
I was quite surprised at how versatile hot dogs can really be! We usually eat hot dogs either boiled on the stove (in the winter), and grilled in the summer. It’s rare that I cook them any other way. I do love hot dogs charred on the grill though. Blogs spread all across the web have at least one hot dog recipe for Halloween. It was hard to pick just six recipes to feature! I had to include sausage rolls to the mix because we love them too, The Husband especially. He could eat his weight in sausage rolls if I let him!
Dead Man’s Fingers (cocktail sausages) – This has been styled for a pirate party, but throw a few Halloween picks and a spooky sign in front and you’re golden.
Sausage Fingers (sausage rolls)
Ok guys, that’s a wrap for our 30 Creepy Halloween Dinner Ideas! I hope you’ve gotten some inspiration from this list! Thank you so much for reading. I hope you come back for the next Halloween post that will be jam packed full of Halloween Decor ideas!
